Export and restore data

Understand transfer before importing.

Use the fictional Aurora Page example in a test project. For assistant requests, write in the indicated lead or worker chat. Perform the remaining steps in the panel.

Steps

  1. Open data transfer in settings. Check whether administrative transfer is enabled.

  2. In a test environment, export and preserve the archive and digest. For restore, select a separate installation with an empty database.

  3. Upload the archive, read its preview and confirm only after checking source, destination and precision policy. Wait for final status and inspect restored tasks and attachments.

Request for the assistant chat
Check export and restore prerequisites in an isolated environment. Preserve this installation’s data.

Check the result

The destination contains the records after completed restore. If unavailable, ask the administrator about enablement and allowed origins.

Follow the operation in the transfer area. Download .beeteam.zip becomes available after export; uploading an import archive presents its preview before restore.

Stop before confirmation if the destination is not empty, the source differs from expectations or precision truncation has not been approved. Cancel requests cancellation of the running job. A restoring state with an uncertain outcome needs reconciliation before retrying.

If the record is missing, clear the section’s filters, check active or archived registration where that control exists, and confirm the correct team, board or task. A connection failure appears as an error and requires a retry.

Open the example screen

Copy the record address from your own panel. Preserve its slug and change only the tab parameters as shown below. The example path describes navigation and needs your actual record.
