# Bee Team trademark policy The Bee Team name, wordmark, logo and distinctive brand identifiers identify the official Bee Team project. The Bee Team brand owner is Philippe Ferreira Assis Tecnologia da Informação LTDA (trade name: Philtech), CNPJ 59.845.514/0001-90. Rights in third-party materials remain with their respective holders. This policy does not assert that a mark is registered. ## Software rights and brand rights The software and documentation are available under the unmodified [Apache License 2.0](LICENSE), except for the materials explicitly identified in [BRAND-ASSETS.md](BRAND-ASSETS.md) and third-party materials carrying their own licenses. You may use, modify, distribute and sell the Apache-licensed software under that license. This policy does not add conditions to those software rights. Apache 2.0 section 6 does not grant a trademark license beyond customary attribution and descriptions of the work's origin. Permission to use the code is not permission to present an independent product or service as official Bee Team. ## Uses allowed without requesting permission - Use the official software privately, internally or commercially, with the branding supplied in it. - Redistribute unmodified official copies with their existing branding and required legal notices, without suggesting an endorsement or official relationship. - Refer truthfully to Bee Team in documentation, reviews, tutorials, compatibility descriptions and statements such as "based on Bee Team." - Show accurate screenshots and the official logo when reasonably necessary to identify or discuss the project, without suggesting sponsorship or endorsement. These permissions supplement uses already permitted by applicable law; they do not restrict lawful nominative reference or other statutory exceptions. ## Independent forks and services Choose a distinct product name and branding for a publicly distributed modified version or an independently branded hosted service. You may identify its origin with a truthful attribution such as "based on Bee Team," while clearly identifying its independent operator. Retain required copyright, license and attribution notices; rebranding is not a reason to remove them. Without separate written permission, do not use Bee Team marks as your own product identity, claim official status or certification, imply affiliation or endorsement, or use confusing names, logos or domains for an independent product or service. Running an official instance for your own team does not require rebranding. A truthful description of an independently operated instance is permitted when it clearly identifies the operator and does not imply official hosting or endorsement. ## Limits of the reservation This policy concerns the Bee Team identity and the specifically identified brand artwork. It does not claim exclusive rights over hexagons, monochrome palettes, general interface layouts, common geometric shapes, open-source components, third-party fonts or third-party icons. Their applicable licenses and legal rights remain intact. ## Requests Request additional brand-use permission through an issue in [runvibe/beeteam](https://github.com/runvibe/beeteam). Describe the intended use, where it will appear and who operates the product. Silence does not constitute permission. A future change to this policy does not revoke software rights already granted under Apache 2.0.
