Runtime and storage

Bee Team stores work records locally by default. Chats run in your harness.

SQLite

The service creates the database in the current user's home directory (~/.beeteam/beeteam.sql). Start the service with the same data location after an upgrade. Use portable export for a supported snapshot; restore only into an empty destination.

PostgreSQL

For PostgreSQL 18+, set DATABASE_URL to the dedicated database and optionally set DATABASE_DRIVER=postgres. An explicit driver must match the URL. Changing the connection selects a different store; moving existing data requires a transfer. Environment reference

Your choice about analytics

Bee Team works without analytics. With your permission, Google Analytics receives limited usage statistics, such as which section you open. Your tasks, chats and local content are not sent.
